AstroExpediciones — SOCHIAS XX

One of the most meaningful experiences of my outreach journey. This four-day expedition combined astronomy communication and indigenous knowledge in rural schools across the lakes region of southern Chile, visiting communities in Isla Huar, Isla Maillén, Isla Puluqui, and Calbuco.
The expedition ran in parallel with the XX Annual SOCHIAS Meeting (Chilean Astronomical Society), bringing together researchers and science communicators under a shared commitment to reaching communities far from major academic centers. Representing Astrodiálogos, we shared both the scientific and cultural dimensions of astronomy with local students and teachers.
